News for Friend!

July 2019 ~ Next Issue: August 2019

 Our 2019 Special Offer!

Dear Friend,

We enjoyed wrapping up the last bit of spring with family visits and have been at our easels the first week of summer. We're anticipating more great fun hiking, kayaking, and fishing and will be sharing our recent paintings with you as well as news from shows.

We're delighted to extend another special offer starting with our collectors and followers.  Back in the 1990s, we regularly hosted open studios welcoming collectors and friends into our home to see where we worked and lived combined with showings of our latest paintings and discounts on older ones.  When we moved to Tennessee almost 18 years ago, we opted to distribute a special offer via our printed newsletters and online instead.  We may no longer have them on an annual basis but are pleased that our schedule and inventory is giving everyone the opportunity again this month!

We're doing a few things different this year with more available works to choose from and we plan to make this offer "public" via our Facebook page.  Our email newsletter subscribers are getting the first opportunity to claim these works before we open it to all the next day.  All the paintings featured below are framed and were completed prior to 2011. Their price includes shipping and insurance to our existing collectors and newsletter subscribers.  Some of these paintings were recently reframed.

Enjoy adding to your collection or choosing something as a gift for someone else!  Free gift-wrapping is also included!  [We have made most of these images 400 pixels for the newsletter.  Some may display larger than actual size] To purchase a painting, please email us at siegrist@artofwildlife.com

Painting by Wes Siegrist
The Maternal Bond by Wes, 2.5 x 3.5 inches, $350

We had the pleasure of watching these Harbor Seals during our first visit to California in 2008.  This painting was featured on the cover of Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association Magazine in August 2010.

Painting by Rachelle Siegrist
Peony Peeper by Rachelle, 2.75 inches, $350
This adorable little Spring Peeper had taken up residence inside one of our peony flowers in the front yard.

An Adorable Aussie by Wes, 1.75 x 1.75 inches, $300
This adorable fellow lived at the San Diego Zoo back in 2008.

Painting by Rachelle Siegrist
Lil' Prince Albert by Rachelle, 3 x 2 inches, $300
Albert was one of our "show buddies".  He always came to visit us at shows and blessed us with some delightful memories over the years!

Painting by Wes Siegrist
Favorite Fishing Hole by Wes, 3.75 x 6.5 inches, $625
We watched these Common Mergansers during one of our visits to Yellowstone as they effortlessly fished the whitewater in the river.  We're delighted that Common Mergansers now inhabit the Little River here in Towsend.

Painting by Rachelle Siegrist
Prairie Girl by Rachelle, 2.75 x 2.75 inches, $525
This cute little girl modeled for Rachelle and other artists during one of our workshop experiences in Wyoming.

Painting by Wes Siegrist
Mountain Man Herb Herrick by Wes, 2.75 inches, $525
Herb was a fellow artist that posed for us at that same Wyoming workshop.  We've done several paintings of him.  The gold background was added a couple of years after this was initially painted and made the work much more dramatic in person.

Painting by Rachelle Siegrist
Marina Reflections by Rachelle, 3.5 x 2.5 inches, $350
This scene was behind the B&B we used to stay at during many of our years doing the Waterfowl Festival.  We loved early morning walks around Oxford, MD.

Painting by Rachelle Siegrist
The Drying Room by Rachelle, 2.75 x 2.75 inches, $350
From the Farmington Plantation in KY, the aroma of the drying tobacco and herbs in this room were captivating.  Capturing the warm sun bathing the scene was Rachelle's main goal in this painting.
Painting by Wes Siegrist
Water Patterns ~ Lil' Blue Bill by Wes, 2.25 x 2.75 inches, $350
This work was part of a series Wes painted of waterfowl featuring elaborate patterns in the water.  He opted last year to crop this work as an oval to draw more emphasis on the duck.

Painting by Rachelle Siegrist
Twilight At The Farm by Rachelle, 1 x 3 inches, $300
This tiny little landscape represents a farm in Easton, MD from the early 2000s.  Traveling to the same areas of the country for over two decades sadly gives us memories of how it used to be.  We much preferred the farms and vast stretches of the landscape to the developments that now occupy the areas.

Painting by Wes Siegrist
Low Country Fleet At Rest by Wes, 1.5 x 4.5 inches, $525
Like above, this scene from near Charleston, SC, has given us tales from the old timers of how it used to be at Shem Creek when they were young.  Wes did alter this painting from the actual setting by removing all the buildings in the background behind the boats.

Painting by Wes Siegrist
Chipmunk by Wes, 3.75 x 1.75 inches, $300
This is one of our earliest miniature paintings from 1998!  It's been part of our private collection hanging in our studio.  We thought it would be nice to give more of our collectors a chance to own part of our history.

Painting by Wes Siegrist
Spoonbill Bay by Wes, 2 x 4 inches, $300
Another early work from 2002 and like the chipmunk above, has been part of our personal collection in our home.  It's a scene from Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge in Florida.
