Walking on the Sunny Side!

 Dear Friend,
! was once told that life was like a game of poker. You can't choose which cards you are dealt but you can always choose how you play them. This is especially poignant in these turbulent times but joy does still abound around us. If you can't see it, try making it for someone else and you'll find it yourself by surprise!

Rachelle and I share more in common than most couples but we do have some differences. One of the biggest is that she seeks sunshine while I usually head for shade. Metaphorically speaking though, we both strive to walk on the sunny side of the street. Yes, we do have to remind ourselves of this but we try to daily choose to have a good day. When things go bad, we tell ourselves what's going good ... most of all, we look at the big picture of where we are in our life goals.

Trudging up life's mountain is one step at a time and gazing back on the trail we've climbed with its triumphs over challenges is often the inspiration we need to get that second wind to push through the next steep part of the climb. This year has changed so much for everyone and it remains challenging but we encourage you to look for the sunshine and do what you can to walk on the sunny side of the street!

Rachelle has been busy painting on her masterpiece series as well as commissions and I managed to finish my Carolina Wren painting in between SAA responsibilities and yard projects. We wish to extend another heartfelt thank you to those recently purchasing paintings from us directly or at shows. It's a ray of sunshine for us to know our artwork is bringing joy and smiles to the faces of those cherishing it. ~ Wes

Rachelle is still working on the next painting in the series which is Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer. Works in this new series are available at $1850 each. (That's quite a few million less than the larger original masterpieces!) For our newly signed up subscribers, you can enjoy a short time-lapse video of Rachelle's Mona Lisa after Da Vinci from start to finish on our YouTube channel here: Mona Lisa by Rachelle Siegrist
