The Latest!

It's Summer in the Pacific Northwest!! If you are looking for a fun and cool place to beat the heat, the Children's Museum has air conditioning! We look forward to welcoming you into our comfortably cool space! Our friends at Skagit Kid Insider also have a list of local summer activities and spray parks, if you need more ideas to keep you busy in the months ahead.

For the remainder of July, we will maintain our current hours and sessions. The online reservation system is currently in place through July 31. We are looking at opening on Tuesdays from 10 am-12 pm and 1-3 pm. Watch for those updates to come out! Please remember that the WA State Secretary of Health's mask order remains in place. Masks are required throughout the Museum spaces for everyone ages 3+. All people, regardless of vaccination status, are still required to wear masks in certain places such as: K-12 schools, childcare facilities, camps, and other youth settings where children are present or expected to be present.

Until we are comfortable with how we can manage and run celebrations and special programs, these activities will remain on hold until further notice. We should have information on Summer Camps soon! Please remember that there are recurring events on our web calendar that are not currently happening. We understand that this not knowing and seemingly sudden changes to operations is frustrating and confusing - it is for us too! We appreciate your support and cooperation as we move ahead.

Be sure to mark your calendars for September 3-11, 2021 when our 18th annual Chair-ity Auction & Dinner will virtually take place! Holding our auction virtually last year was certainly a pandemic-required necessity, but it also proved to be a wonderful way to include a lot more people than our traditional in-person dinner! The virtual auction is free to attend - just create a login so that you can bid when the auction goes live. Our Auction Committee is busy working on all the details like event sponsorship and donated items for the live, silent and dessert auctions. Click here, and bookmark the page, to learn more about this year's event and how you or your business can sponsor!

We’ll continue to post updates on our website, including the Covid-19 page, and on Facebook. If you have any questions, please contact Executive Director Cate Anderson via email: Cate@skagitcm.org or by phone: 360-770-9746.
