Have your say on John Landy Oval lights at Central Park

In late 2021 Stonnington Council approved the installation of low-spill, adjustable lights at Central Park’s John Landy Oval, and approved their use from Monday to Friday during the winter months.

We plan to install the lights in the 2022/23 financial year and before doing so would like to determine the level of community support for the lights being used on weekend nights in winter, as well as weeknights.

How to have your say:

Complete a survey on our Connect Stonnington Engagement Hub by 14 June.

Give feedback to our engagement team who will be at John Landy Oval between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June.

At the close of consultation on 14 June, your feedback will help decide whether to light the oval on weekends or not. If it is decided to use the lights on weekends, the level of lighting would be suitable for community recreation activities only.
Local Sport
The Pride at St Kevin’s

After a disruptive past two seasons, the 2022 VAFA (Victorian Amateur Football Association) season is well and truly underway this year, with local club St Kevin’s having a strong first 8 rounds, sitting at one and two respectively on the ladder in the Women’s and Men’s William Buck Premier competitions.

Results aren’t the only reason St Kevin’s are up and about this year. In July, the club will celebrate its 75-year history, featuring a variety of senior teams including under 19s, thirds, masters, women and seniors.

And on Saturday 18 June, the St Kevin’s Saints will host their inaugural Pride Cup at TH King Oval. Get along and show your support.
