Today is the last day to register for the World Organisation for Animal Health's (OIE's) Global Animal Welfare Conference at a reduced rate!
The conference, which takes place only every four years, will occur from 6-8 December in Gudadalajara, Mexico. WAN will be one of several animal protection organizations in attendance.
Amina Abaza, newly appointed Minister of Animal Rights and the Environment within the Women's Ministry of Egypt and representative on WAN's International Policy Forum, took the opportunity on World Animal Day to submit the Model Animal Welfare Act, which was translated into Arabic, to Egypt's prime minister.
