Pack your jandles! Kiwis invited to be in the ‘sunshine by lunchtime’

The direct Air New Zealand Service between Auckland and Sunshine Coast Airport (SCA) will take off once again next week, with the first service touching down at SCA next Monday, 28 June. To entice Kiwis back to the Sunshine Coast, a mega campaign is being rolled out with Visit Sunshine Coast (VSC), Tourism Noosa and Sunshine Coast Airport joining with Air New Zealand to invite Kiwis to pack their jandles and be in the sunshine by lunchtime. Prior to the pandemic, New Zealand was our region’s number one international market with 84,000 annual visitors, 650,000 room nights, and an economic value of $110 million. The campaign invites New Zealanders to ditch the cold this winter and embrace a winter warmer on the Sunshine Coast. Travellers are invited to take a deep-dive of our region, discovering everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

How to leverage our mega winter campaign

The joint Air New Zealand campaign comes as we roll out our Immerse Yourself, For real campaign across Australia and New Zealand! The multi-channel campaign is video-focused and showcases a myriad of ‘pinch yourself’ moments that inspire people to get away from the everyday grind and immerse themselves in everything that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. The campaign will direct visitors to a dedicated landing page on our brand-new website. There are a number of ways members can leverage and amplify the campaign, and we encourage you all to get involved by accessing our campaign toolkit below!

How to promote your deals on our website through ATDW!

The new Immerse Yourself, For real campaign drives visitors to our new website where they have access to Sunshine Coast deals. In order to list your business deal, you MUST have a listing with the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW). Registration for ATDW is currently FREE, and will ensure your business details are not only listed on visitsunshinecoast.com, but on up to 50 key travel sites including Queensland.comAustralia.com and more.  ATDW gives you total control of your business listing, including and is also the place where you load any deals or special offers to be promoted through our website. For a step-by-step guide on how to list, or update, your business through ATDW, click here.

Share your feedback on our newsletter and win!

We are looking to make some changes to our corporate newsletter – and we’d like to hear from you! Our fortnightly newsletter is currently our main source of communication to our members and stakeholders, and we’d like to know what content you like most, what you’d like to see more of and any feedback you have on how our newsletter could be of more value to you and your business. We encourage you to fill out the below short survey – it will only take a few minutes – to help us continue to provide the best communications possible. Those who complete the survey by 30 June, including Question 10, will go in the running to win a double pass to see the Sunshine Coast Lightning take on the Adelaide Thunderbirds at USC Stadium on 24 July!
