FAQ about Today's Harvest
We have officially opened our second Today's Harvest location at 8264 4th St N, Oakdale, MN. Here are a few frequently asked questions about how Today's Harvest works.
How often can I come?
You can use Today's Harvest once a day.
When is the best time to visit Today's Harvest?
The best time to visit Today's Harvest is in the later afternoon. We continuously restock throughout the day so there is always food available.
Can I use both Today's Harvest and Drive-Up?
Yes! You are welcome to use both programs. You can use our Drive-Up Service once a week and Today’s Harvest Market once a day.
What is the difference between Today's Harvest and Drive-Up?
Drive-Up is designed to be a weekly amount of groceries. Think of it as a way to stock your shelfs. You will receive produce, deli, dairy, meat, bakery, nonperishables and cleaning/hygiene. You will also be able to pick out choice items, which are culturally specific, as well as diapers, pet food, and pads/tampons.
Today’s Harvest is intended to be a 1-2 day shop. Most of the food at Today’s Harvest is rescued from local grocery stores and has a shorter shelf life. You will be able to shop for produce, deli, dairy, meat, and bakery.
What information do I need to provide?
At Today’s Harvest you will need to provide the size of your household and your zip code. You can optionally provide your phone number to make your next visit easier. We will not provide your personal information to other parties.

Need Help with Your Taxes?
Minnesota has some free tax resources that may apply to you.
Tax Clinics
You may qualify for help at a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) clinic
To qualify, 1 of the following must apply:
-You are age 60 or older
-You are a person with a disability
-You speak limited or no English
-Your annual income is less than $58,000
There are also AARP Tax-Aide Clinics where there are no qualifications, however they will only help complete basic returns.
Online Filing
The IRS Free File program has access to some tax programs you can use for free. To see if you qualify--different software has different qualifications--you can click here.

We are looking for bilingual volunteers!
You can make a difference by sharing your language skills!
If you speak a second language or multiple languages, we need you! Our programs need bilingual volunteers to assist our clients whose primary language isn’t English. We seek volunteers who can conversationally speak Spanish, Hmong, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and more.

Need a delivery?
In partnership with Valley Outreach and White Bear Food Shelf, there is a new link to sign up for deliveries.
If you are not able to come to our food shelf due to health concerns, weather, or transportation barriers, you can request a delivery of food. This program is designed to replace coming to our Drive-Up markets, so you can request food each week.
