This is a great goal but the provincial government's current funding commitment to school boards is insufficient to achieve this goal. Additional funding solutions must be found.

Here are the Ontario school boards with the largest repair backlogs:

Toronto DSB: $3.5-billion
Peel School Board: almost $1-billion
Ottawa-Carlton DSB: over $700-million
Thames Valley DSB: almost $700-million
Toronto Catholic DSB: over $500-million

However, all 72 Ontario school boards have a repair backlog, for a total of $15-billion of disrepair. Write your letter today to ensure the Province understands schools are critical infrastructure and must be funded as such!
