Dress Down Day
Students will be permitted to dress down on Halloween. They may wear jeans or sweat pants as well as the t-shirt of their choice. The purpose of this dress down is to make it easier for them to change into their costumes for the 2:30 parade in the MPR.
Congratulations 3rd graders
This year, the third graders have made Random Acts of Kindness
a priority in their classroom. They regularly discuss how such acts can be performed and share the acts as they perform them. So far this year, they have reached an initial goal of 100 Random Acts of Kindness! Way to go third graders!
Practice begins Thursday, Nov. 1, from 3:30 - 5pm. There is a mandatory parent meeting
with coach Ownby after practice.
Middle School Service
The middle school students will spend most of the day raking leaves for our neighbors on Friday, Nov. 2. The rain date is the following Friday, Nov. 9.

Did you know that if you shop on Amazon.com that Amazon will make a donation to St. John School based on the amount of your purchase? Simply go to https://smile.amazon.com and register an account. There are a lot of St. John Schools, so I recommend that you type in our Tax ID# (42-0736175) when it asks you for the charity of your choice. This is a free service and helps out SJS tremendously.
Additionally, they have announced an upcoming AmazonSmile promotion. From Oct 29 - Nov 2, AmazonSmile will increase the donation rate on all eligible purchases. This will be their largest bonus donation promotion to date, and is a great opportunity for St. John Catholic School to benefit from AmazonSmile donations.
