Private Hire Facilities at the Southampton Boat Show  

The very popular Platinum Hospitality ticket is back for the 2015 Southampton Boat Show, the ticket price is £125.00 inc VAT.  Tickets can be booked for as little as one person up to large groups. The price includes use of the Platinum lounge overlooking the marina, a luxury Power Boat Experience*, morning tea, coffee and pastries, buffet lunch, afternoon tea and cake, an Official Show Guide, Show entry ticket, WiFi and cloakroom. In addition to hospitality at the Show there is an opportunity to hire a number of the hospitality suites and restaurants for private hire out of the show opening times.  Whether you are looking to organise a breakfast event in The Mariners Grill, a drinks reception in The Tapas Terrace or The Honda Champagne Bar or arrange private dining event in the Platinum Lounge, you are spoilt for choice and will wow your guests with the stunning location.

*The boat experience is subject to weather conditions. Participants must be aged eight years and over to enjoy the Power Boat Experience.  Free 15 years and under tickets are not valid for the Platinum Experience.
Preliminary work is now underway for luxury new Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa 

The start of the development of the new Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa at Ocean Village marks a major milestone for the city, introducing Southampton’s only luxury five star standard hotel. 

The hotel will include 85 bedrooms, an indulgent Harbour Spa, with gym and swimming pool, along with the group’s award-winning Jetty restaurant concept, featuring a luxurious rooftop Champagne Bar. 

Dawn Baxendale, Chief Executive of Southampton City Council, said: “It is fantastic news to hear that this exciting, luxury development is now moving forward.  It will further establish Southampton’s waterfront as a magnificent destination for visitors and residents alike.”

Southampton Familiarisation Visit

City Cruise Terminal Refurbishment 

Southampton’s largest event space, The City Cruise Terminal, is in the middle of refurbishment. ABP Ports and Halo Conference and Events, are currently taking bookings up until November 2015, with refurbishment continuing over the Christmas period up until April 2016, with the work finishing then.
With the City Cruise terminal boasting facilities that can host up to 3500 guests in its various suites; The Atrium, City Cruise Suite, Exhibition Hall and Arrival Lounge. The terminal is an empty shell that gives you, the client, the flexibility to create a variety of different events, from dinners to exhibition spaces.

Successful Seawork

We were proud to be the official accommodation partner for Seawork 2015. It was our 10th year working with Mercator Media on this ever growing event. As usual it was a huge success, seeing most of the city centre hotels full to the brim with exhibitors and visitors!

We are excited to hear that the show will have a new home in 2016, at Mayflower Park. Our team are already busy taking accommodation bookings.

Hampshire based food giants Wise Catering have taken over the operation of luxury bar and restaurant, Bistro8 inside Universal Marina, Sarisbury Green. 

This new venue boasts a 40 seater restaurant area, private boardroom facilities and stunning gardens overlooking the marina.

Team Building Just Got BIGGER at Careys Manor

New Forest Business Expo 

This month Destination Southampton exhibited alongside Hampshire Conference Bureau at the New Forest Business Expo. It was the first event of it's kind and took place at Berthon Boat Yard in Lymington in the glorious sunshine. It was a very successful day, we met lots of new contacts and saw a few friendly familiar faces too. We hope to return again next year.
