id11 presentation during Uit-je Tent!
With artist initiative foundation id11 I curate exhibitions and organise Artists-in-Residence projects in Delft and at the farm in Rutten, Nordeastpolder in the Netherlands. In October and November 2014 I was Artists-in-Residence in Kristiansand, Norway and at the same time artists Pim van Halem and Mia van der Burg lived and worked at id11's Artist-in-Residence on the farm in RuttenThe artworks made during this Artist-in-Residence period will be exhibited in the act of Uit-je Tent! festival from 4-7 June 2015. The participating artists will give a short presentation about their works during the artist talks. There is a mini art book market and visitors can enter De Zingever of The Institute of the Wandering Man | Oscar Prinsen and 'overthink' the landscape. On Sunday afternoon the weekend concludes with a living room concert. Visitors are welcome daily; June 4, 5, 6 and 7 from 11.00 hrs. to 17.00 hrs. The artist talks with  Pim van Halem,  Mia van der Burg and myself on Sunday June 7 start at 15.00 hrs. Living room concert is right after the talks at 16.00 hrs. to 17.00 hrs.

art lending
I started to know Rolina and her artwork in 2001. I've always been a kind of speechless when I saw her work presented in exhibitions. Two years ago we chose the painting laundry VI ('t wasgoed VI). A large painting with an apartment building and laundry underneath a window and above a clear-blue sky. After we moved we had to find a new place for the painting. Because there was always something in front of a wall; a closet or a lamp, the only place for the painting to hang, was to hang it high, very high. As it shows now, there could not be a better place. You look literally from below up to the apartment building on the painting. Exactly the position the painter had. And we continued to look up. The similarity of shapes in the painting and in our room, windows, stair gate divided into threes, as the windows on the painting. But in the meantime we will own the painting by steadily keep on saving, so that we always can look up to this intriguing work!

In 2006 I started with lending my artwork, first to colleagues, friends and family. The idea of loaning came out of necessity, because I went travelling and working at several Artists-in-Residence for a year and did not want to have storage or rent anything in Netherlands. I still have the opportunity of hire-purchase paintings. If you are interested, please let me know.
