Qualification Reminder

Qualification period ends on the 1st of March 2016. Standards can be found HERE
Qualification totals must be performed at an OWNZ Sanctioned Event. Calendar can be found HERE
Athletes considered for selection MUST be 2016 registered competitive members and hold a New Zealand Passport

2016 IWF Junior World Championships

Tbilisi, Georgia
24th June - 2nd July

Call for expressions of interest from coaches & potential athletes that could meet the qualification standards within the qualification period and show interest in attending knowing that this trip will be self funded need to notify OWNZ at info@olympicweightlifting.nz ASAP

High Performance Squad Candidates Announced

One of OWNZ strategic initiatives is to put more structure and planning into High Performance. While a framework was developed several years ago that has been used to identify talent we have now taken the next step in naming candidates for selections into two High Performance Squads.

Congratulations to all the athletes named as candidates; their coaches and families.

Do you have Secondary School students lifting in your facility?
Or do you know of a secondary school student that does some weightlifting?

Get them to submit their numbers into the OWNZ School League!!
