Winter Pot Dinner on 28 December
Have a pot dinner close to the fireplace, get far away from the coldness. Celebrate China’s most important traditional festival on 24 January at the Great Wall. From 19:00, enjoy traditional hot pot dinner in Great Wall Room, after dinner, make dumplings in the lodge. Swedish Youtuber & the Brickyard
Miriam, a Swede living in rural China, made two videos from her stay at the Brickyard with her Chinese husband and son. One features our sustainability program and the Textile Arts Studio at The Schoolhouse. Ongoing Art after First Snow
Ninghui Xiong, a synesthetic artist specialising in sound visualization who will be our artist in residency in 2020, came to Mutianyu Great Wall after the first snowfall to collect natural and cultural materials around the local environment. Sustainability in Action
We trim the willows in our gardens in winter to make them grow better next year. At the same time, those branches will not be wasted as they will be used as fence material and as kindling for our fireplaces.
