Weddings at the Wall
Have you ever dreamed of holding a wedding at the foot of the Great Wall? There will be two weddings at the Brickyard in June but every month is wedding season here. Plan your once-in-a-lifetime ceremony with the Great Wall as the backdrop.

Sustainable Tourism Internships
Alaa, a Moroccan architecture graduate student at Arizona State University, is studying and participating in Spear Designs and Spacework Architects. He is fascinated with the calm, natural and organic village under the Great Wall. He also appreciates the structures in harmony with the environment here.

International Code Council
Brickyard was honored to host the leadership team of the International Code Council earlier this month. This NGO develops model building codes and standards that are adopted worldwide, and represents US building safety regulators in global conversations and collaborations surrounding building safety.
Flowering Brickyard
You just missed the wisteria on our long arbor but the honeysuckle is blooming right now, filling our grounds with a gentle and elusive scent. Come out and enjoy our garden with the plants flowering and the (usually!) blue sky.

Father’s Day, Dads Eat Free at the Brickyard: 16 June the day for dads. We will treat fathers who come along with at least one of their children to a lip-smacking free meal at the Brickyard. (Includes 1 main, 1 individual beverage, and 1 dessert per Dad)

Cooking with Randhir
Marinated eggplant is a perfect cold dish for summer, even though it takes a bit of time to fry and marinate. Click to see the ingredients and marinade.
Sustainability in Action
This month we rebuilt the Brickyard’s gravel entrance lane and underground drains to carry away rainwater more effectively. We prefer gravel over blacktop or concrete and that crunchy sound is actually pretty nice.
