Bronwynne Cornish has become one of New Zealand's best known makers of sculptural ceramics over a career which spans some 40 years.  Her work is exhibited throughout the country, where she has had major shows in all the main museums and galleries, including a particularly enduring relationship with the Auckland Art Gallery.
Since beginning to work with clay in 1968, she has developed a practice which is largely sculptural, including many installations and large works.  Her central themes reflect a strong interest in place, ritual and mythology.
