Craig spent a week on Aoraki/Mt Cook this month, climbing with friends Graham Loh and painter Euan Macleod.

Graeme Loh, Euan Macleod, Craig Potton and their guide Dave!
...he also managed some well deserved R & R catching waves at some of his favourite surf spots...
Introducing Craig’s new Singular Image for this month:

Dolphu Valley, Eastern Tibet

"In this image you can feel the solidarity of the mountain’s rock faces being caressed by the transient mist. The Chinese philosophy of Taoism emphasises the complementary nature of all opposites such as water and rock. Water will eventually wear through the hardest rock. There’s a moral in that!"
- Craig Potton

Our Summer Exhibition will be coming to an end soon but we are excited to announce our March Back Gallery installation will not only contain stunning large-format Craig Potton images but also two new-to-the-gallery works by Max Gimblett - so watch this space!

Nelson Green Party Movie Night Fundraiser Event

Nelson Green Party's first fundraising event of the year is a screening of the film The Biggest Little Farm. Released in December last year, this tells the story of an eight-year quest by Johnny and Molly Chester as they trade city living for 200 acres of barren farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with nature. The rating on Rotten Tomatoes is 91%. Not to be missed!

Screening is on Wednesday March 4 at the Suter Art Gallery in Bridge Street. Doors open at 6.30 and the screening is at 7 p.m.Drinks and snacks for sale at the bar from 6.30: a good chance to mix and mingle.

Being election year, this is an important year for the Greens. And of course, we need funds to run a good campaign. So, please support us if you can. Friends and whanau are very welcome. Spread the word! Once again, Craig Potton Gallery in Hardy Street have kindly agreed to sell tickets on our behalf ($20 or $15 unwaged). Payment with eftpos or cash.
We were proud to help support Ana and the team at Earth Hub Nelson with their fund-raising exhibition Art4Wildlife. They managed to raise over $8000 to donate to Australian wildlife rescue organisations WIRES and WILDLIFE VICTORIA.
Congratulations Ana!

If you missed one of the episodes of Craigs hugely popular 'Wild Coasts' series, that screened recently, or if you would like to follow it up with his 'Rivers' series, we have both DVDs available for purchase from the gallery.

Each retail at $29.99 and are available both through our website and in store.
