NEPS Medal 2016
I am pleased to inform you that it's time for applications for the NEPS Medal 2016.
The NEPS Medal is the annual award for the best publication in Peace Science published by a NEPS member and is awarded by means of a poll among all members of NEPS. 
NEPS Members can submit a paper by April, 28th at:

Workshop on GIS + geocoding data
at the University of Essex
The workshop will be offered by Michael Shin, Professor of Geography and Director of the UCLA Program in Geospatial Information Systems & Technology (Here for more information about Michael Shin).
The course will be based on the open source software QGIS (Link to the website), which avoids the need to rely on the proprietary software and expensive licenses.
There is no charge for the course, but people interested in attending the course must sign up
before April 15th, sending an email to Kristian Skrede Gleditsch (ksg@essex.ac.uk)
