Psalm 9:9 (NKJV)
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed
A refuge in times of trouble.

I like the way it says it in The Message:
Psalm 9:9-10    God’s a safe-house for the battered,
    a sanctuary during bad times.
The moment you arrive, you relax;
    you’re never sorry you knocked.

The word refuge means a place of shelter, love and forgiveness. It is a place away from the enemy and storms. It is a place of protection.

I want to encourage us today to be places of refuge. Sometimes a refuge is not simply a physical place, but a spiritual place where people can find what they need. In the Message, it talks about a God being a safe house for the battered. People are being battered today. There is chaos in so many lives. Families are hurting from outside forces trying to bring destruction. I believe we are instruments for the Kingdom of God. We are to be the one God uses to bring healing. People speak hurtful words and say things in anger that causes people to lose hope.

I want you to know that today there is a place of refuge for you. God will give you peace in the storms of life. He will cause you to forget the past and move toward your future. Allow the Lord to use people to give you refuge and allow yourself to be used to give refuge to someone hurting today.

Mission News

This is a picture of my friend Jacek Matlakiewicz. He lives in Torun, Poland. Jack Turner and I will be leaving on May 24 to travel to Poznan, Poland to hold a men's conference. Jacek is leading the conference and making all the arrangements. Jacek and I have been friends for at least 17 years now. He has traveled to the United States on a couple of occasions and been to our home. He is a pastor and also owns a business. I am thankful for friends who live in many parts of the world, but have a heart for the Kingdom of God. Please pray that the Lord will do a mighty work in the men during that weekend. We trust the Lord for freedom and deliverance. We are praying for a wave of the Holy Spirit to change many lives.

 Serving those who serve Jesus around the world.
This is another picture from my time in India in 2004. The time was well spent teaching pastors and imparting to their lives. I had received a prophetic word that I would go to India several times in my life. I am now prepared to go for my second visit. Jack Turner and I fly into Hyderabad on June 4 to train pastors who are preparing to plant churches in the next three years. I believe the Lord has opened this door and I look forward to seeing the hunger from these pastors. In many ways, they have more to share than I do. I am truly humbled by their dedication and heart for the mission. Please pray with me for this important season.

I am still short about $3,000.00 of the monies needed for this trip. I have stepped out in faith and will be leaving next week on the journey. You can give online or mail funds to us directly. Thank you so much for your consideration.

This is a picture of me preaching for Pastor John Ip. He was the General Superintendent for the Hong Kong Assemblies of God. This is 1984. This was a life changing trip for me. During this trip I bought a special ticket to visit 12 cities in the United States on a "See America" pass. I chose 12 cities I had never preached in and did not know anyone. When I returned home, I got calls from a pastor in 10 of those cities asking me to come preach. It was a powerful answer to prayer. I share this now because in our recent move to our new home, I came across the paperwork where I bought the ticket. I was amazed I still had it hidden deep in a box. I had shared this story many times through the years. It was so wonderful to have the papers in my hand and again thank the Lord for his direction and provision.

Ronald's Remarks

The Holy Land Trip deadline is extended. I pushed for some to pay their deposit so I could make sure we had enough for the trip. We have at least 28 signed up right now, but there is room for you. This could be your trip of a lifetime. I believe it will not only be informative, but it will be anointed. You can go to my web site and fill our the application form and get any information you need. Let me know if you have any questions.

Again I ask you to pray for Jack Turner and I as we travel to Poland, Ukraine and India over the next few weeks. I believe the Lord will do miracles and transform lives.
