The First Sunday of End Time
The Festival of the Lutheran Reformation
October 31 marks the anniversary of the start of the Lutheran Reformation as it was on October 31, 1517 that the German monk Martin Luther posted 95 theses, or theological arguments, against unbiblical practices of the Roman Catholic Church on the door of the Wittenburg church. More than 500 years later, we celebrate the true Church’s unfailing reliance on the Word of God (The Bible) and unflinching testimony to it in the face of persecution. Lord, keep us faithful to your Word, that we would only ever trust in you alone for our righteousness.
God's Word for this coming Sunday & Monday:
"I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the LORD.'" (Psalm 122:1) I look forward to and rejoice at the thought of worshiping with you!
