The Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost

How and why does God call us family?

God’s plan for man was perfect. He created woman for man. They were to “become one flesh.” Sin entered the world and separation replaced union—separation from God and from one another. Bitter marriages and divorces are two examples. But thanks be to God, Jesus suffered death so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone and create new life and a new promise of union – a family made up of the one who makes people and the people he made holy.

Here is God's Word for this coming Sunday and Monday that shows us how God makes us a part of his family:
Genesis 2:18-24
Hebrews 2:9-18
Mark 10:2-16

"I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the LORD.'" (Psalm 122:1) I pray that I will see you all on Sunday or on Monday. God bless!

Saturday Work Day
Saturday, October 6, starting at 9:00 am, we will hang more drywall - hopefully the last day of doing so. If you can, please bring a drill, a utility knife, a key hole saw, a rasp and/or a drywall T-square. Lunch will again be generously by one of our families.
Logo Reveal
The online and paper results have been tabulated and the input from the congregation has been made clear. This Sunday the results of the church logo survey will be revealed.
Monday Night Worship
We will begin offering Monday Night Worship starting October 8 at 7:00 pm. The Bible readings and message will be the same as the Sunday before, but Holy Communion will be offered every Monday night. If you can't make it Sunday morning, join us Monday night!
On Sunday, September 16, 2018 God performed a miracle as he took baby Alivia and washed her clean of all of her sins in the waters of baptism and clothed her with Christ's perfection. We joyously welcome Alivia to the family of God!
On Saturday, September 29, 2018, Kash professed his faith in Jesus as the one who conquered the devil for him as he was washed clean of all of his sins by the holy waters of baptism combined with God's Word. May God keep Kash in his baptismal grace so that he reaches his heavenly home along with all of us who have been baptized.
