The Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost
More than Relatable
For millennia God has used people to be his representatives in worship. These people are able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray since the representatives themselves are weak and have experienced the same temptations and fallen to them. Jesus is the superior representative who has been tempted in every way that we are and yet he did not sin. Because of this, he is our great High Priest, and he is our source of eternal salvation.
Here is God's Word for this coming Sunday and Monday that shows us Jesus as our superior representative before God:
"I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the LORD.'" (Psalm 122:1) I pray that I will see you all on Sunday or Monday. God bless!
