I'm so sorry- we're having to cancel our 'First Saturdays' open studio this Saturday 4th September. We just found out today that neighbours of ours at Bull Mill have tested positive for Covid-19. Although we have had no contact with them, Nick and I still feel that it would be irresponsible to encourage visitors down Bull Lane at the moment.
We look forward to welcoming you to Bull Mill Studio next month ( Saturday 2nd October).
All the other information in the newsletter below is unchanged.
Hello chaps! I hope you are all well and not taking the unseasonably chilly weather too personally. What’s one to expect from a British summer after all?
So what has been occurring dans le studio I hear you ask!? Well the audio books continue, Nick and I are currently listening to Wild Swans, a factual account of three generations of Chinese women from the start of the 20th century, through the Second World War and then the communist regime. Then for a little light relief, The Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller. Steamy or what, absolutely filthy, I loved it! Oh and I’ve been painting too!

Open Studio Alert! This Saturday 4th September 10-5, we shall be flinging open our doors to welcome visitors and show that we have actually been painting, and not just leading the debauched life one would expect of artists (tho we have done that too)!
On this occasion it will only be me welcoming you though, as Nick will be in Salisbury for his A Gap In The Market exhibition. More on that below!
'The Harem’ Oil on reclaimed table leaf
Well after a year of preparations and visiting Salisbury Market to draw, Nick’s AGap In The Market exhibition is up and running! Not only will you be greeted by Nick’s wonderful drawings, you will be transported to the market via the authentic sounds and an actual mini market stall constructed in the gallery space!
Fisherton Mill is more than just a gallery, they sell really unique and quirky items ranging from soaps to sculptures to fashion. Also their cafe is the ultimate! Find out more here!
