'Sea Spirit'. Oil on reclaimed yacht rudder 97 x 44cm
Summer Frolics, house rabbit road trip and beyond!
I've not been very prolific with my newsletters this year: we're in July and I think this is my 3rd this year! To be honest I'd rather be in the studio painting, or in the woods, than tapping away at a keyboard! And gosh, hasn't it been the weather for being outside? Last week we spent a beautiful few days in Cornwall courtesy of my lovely sister! All of us plus house rabbits (I know, crazy, but where we go our bunnies go too and here they are !) all piled into mawganporth. We swam and surfed and explored caves, walked and consumed our own bodyweights in cider!
'Sirene'. Oil on reclaimed wood 45 x 18cm
Right then, having shaken sand from shoes, it's back to business! This Saturday it's our 'First Saturday's' open studio and we would love to show you we have actually been working too! The weather forecast is fantastic so why not come and explore our woods (southleigh-wood-wiltshire) after visiting the studio!
We're also very excited to both be taking part in the 'Meles Meles' exhibition at the a2 Gallery in Wells. The exhibition is badger themed, bringing to light these fascinating and often misunderstood night dwelling creatures. The pieces on show are illustrated below...
