REGIONAL TRAININGS

IDOA HOSTS REGIONAL TRAININGS

The Illinois Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Land and Water Resources earlier this week held three training sessions across the state, occurring in Mt. Vernon, Mendota, and Springfield. AISWCD attended each. Please find below key take-aways from the trainings:

Highlights:
  • Transect surveys will now need to be completed annually. Districts will have the option to make arrangements for another district to perform the survey, however, it will cost them $1,500.
  • Any requests for FY20 cost-share funds, excluding cover crop incentive participants, must be accompanied by a completed S.T.A.R. field form.
  • IDOA hopes that districts will receive FY20 Partners for Conservation (PFC) funds in November.
  • Quarterly reports must be submitted on time. Failure to do so could result in the suspension of funding.
