Spearheaded by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, SAMCEDA, as a member of the advisory council, worked collaboratively to proactively identify a data driven, overarching economic strategy that could be tracked and used as a benchmark with other innovative U.S. regions. After fifteen months the Silicon Valley Competitiveness and Innovation Project (SVCIP) is the product of that effort.



Silicon Valley is a global leader in its ability to develop breakthrough ideas, companies and technologies. The region's history has been characterized by successive waves of technological innovations. The health of the innovation industry affects the entire regional economy. SVCIP will monitor trends in the Silicon Valley's innovation economy to help inform a long-term public policy agenda for the region.
