Happy Birthday, Sambhali Trust!
Last month, we celebrated Sambhali’s 14th birthday. Our organization was registered as an NGO on the 15th January, 2007 by its Founder & Managing Trustee, Govind Singh Rathore. We are so happy and proud to look back at 14 challenging but very successful years of the Trust. Throughout the years, our mission has not changed: educating & empowering children and women from today and tomorrow. All of you have shown your support, blessings and affection more than once and without a doubt. We are very thankful and hope to continue with our work for many more years.
Workshop - Team Building
Last week, the Trust invited experts to come to our Office and conduct workshops related to Team Building, Quality Management and Story-telling for our Team Leaders.
Our Team was very happy with the interaction with the experts and also meeting each other in another playful learning-environment.
The COVID-19 pandemic with its consequences and the lockdowns have shown very unpredictable times. Many of us are going through hard times. All of us coming together, sharing and caring for a few days was fun.
In this way, we think we can strengthen Sambhali's team to execute our aims and objectives more powerfully. Learning has no age!

Recognition of Sambhali’s work
GuideStar India is India’s largest and most reliable online information repository with 10000+ NGOs.
We have been awarded the prestigious GuideStar India Transparency Key award for 2021. Additionally, we could join India’s largest pool of credible NGOs after undergoing a rigorous due diligence process.
GuideStar India’s transparency key is the “Foundation Level” certification which indicates that an organisation has filed annual income tax returns as a tax-exempt entity and has shared the same in the public domain.
Furthermore, as part of Sambhali’s Special Consultative Status provided by the ECOSOC of the United Nations in 2015, our third Written Statement was provided by our Friends from Sambhali U.S.
It is for the 65th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women in March 2021. This year, it is being held virtually. If you’re interested in reading the whole text, please use the link below. We hope you enjoy to read it.
Luckily, all our Women Empowerment Centers and both Boarding Homes are continuing to be open these days. The girls and women at the centers are concentrating on their daily work assignments - from simple embroidery pieces to beautiful traditional clothing. Additionally, they are learning Hindi, English, Math and General Knowledge in other classes at the centers.
The girls at Sheerni Boarding Home are engaged in studying online and both Sheerni and Laadli Boarding Homes have extra tuition each day. The 9th-12th grade girls have returned to school in Sheerni to prepare for their exams (as per the new Rajasthani regulations). The girls also have extracurricular activities including a Drama tutor to increase their self-expression and confidence. In addition, a Computer tutor helps the Sheerni girls to be independent in working online and the younger ones in Laadli to understand the first steps of IT skills and how to use the laptops creatively. Nowadays, the girls enjoy the beautiful winter weather & atmosphere and play their favorite outdoor games on the rooftop. The tutors are satisfied with their progress.
Our Graduates at Sambhali HQ are busy with their international orders and creating & making beautiful items for our boutique. However, they are always looking for new orders. Keep yourself updated on Instagram & Facebook to see the women in action!
We are more than grateful that the projects are running again and that most of our participants are adjusting well to the “new normal”.
We wish you a beautiful month of February and all the best. May you stay blessed and safe.
Warmest regards from Jodhpur, Sambhali Trust
