4th Annual Community Action Day
The Nursing-Legal Partnership co-hosted the 4th Annual Community Action Day on July 20 bringing together over 100 families for a day focused on community-driven solutions and having fun. Numerous community partners, including Greener Partners, the Philadelphia Fire Department, Philadelphia Federal Credit Union, and Walgreens, among others, offered resources and services to attendees. The event also included live music from the kids’ band “The Foxy Doxies” and Zumba instruction. In response to this year’s theme, “The change you want to see and the vision for the future,” families discussed legislative policies and issues that impact their lives and had the opportunity to talk directly with two state representatives, Senator Sharif Street and State Representative Isabella Fitzgerald.
