Cookbook Date Change, Friends Meeting and Book Club!!!

11/9, Monday at 6:30pm Tyler Free

The Friends of the Libraries of Foster will be meeting to begin planning for the February Calendar Raffle.  As Katherine Chansky, the former Friends Coordinator, is now the Foster Libraries Director - we will be introducing the new Friends Coordinator, Lori Tait. Come cheer her on, bring a friend, share your ideas and enjoy some home baked refreshments. 

Cookbook Club

Please come to our next meeting of the 
Foster Libraries Cookbook Club. Please make a favorite Thanksgiving side dish and share the recipe.  If your recipe doesn't work out, just bring a can good for the Foster Food Bank and come anyway!

This month we are reading The Wainscott Weasel by Tor Seidler.  "True love, undying loyalty, and a daring rescue fill the pages of Tor Seidler’s beloved tale, rightfully compared to Charlotte’s Web by The New York Times."  Get ready for fun talking about the book and picking out something to read next month!   For ages 9 - 13.

Watch a great movie with your friends, or
you can just come and hang out in the new lounge area with comfy seating, technology petting zoo, wifi and pizza!  Refreshments are generously sponsored by CAST.  

11/6  "The Book Thief" (PG-13)  While subjected to the horrors of World War II Germany, young Liesel finds solace by stealing books and sharing them with others. In the basement of her home, a Jewish refugee is being sheltered by her adoptive parents.

11/13  Live Poetry Salm by the AS220 Zoo Crew and a showing of the film "Louder Than a Bomb", an award winning feature-length documentary about a high school poetry slam competition.  

11/20  "Spirited Away" (PG)  During her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10 year old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts.
