All Things Possible

Stories from the Mountains
Written by Ana
...........

Before starting to work with Proyecto B3, I never wanted to learn to drive, or even learn to ride a bicycle, because I considered myself to be a very nervous person. Bible instructing with B3 required that we learn to drive a motorcycle because the towns we had to reach were far apart and it was necessary in order to reach the largest number of people.

When we started with B3, we were given motorcycles to use. For me, learning to drive was almost impossible and very difficult. But with God, EVERYTHING is possible, right? So I began to practice. One of the people who started teaching me told me that it would take a year to learn to drive because I didn’t even know how to ride a bicycle.

In prayer I asked God to take away my nervousness and give me patience and learn in less time. I began to practice very hard every day and fell a lot. I had many bruises on my shins, but thank God, I learned in about three weeks!

I fell many times while riding on those dangerous roads, but thankfully I never had a serious accident. After a few months I could drive long stretches of road in rain, in very cold conditions, at night, and on muddy roads. Sometimes I could not feel my hands or my feet from the cold, but I could sense God’s presence with me. Thank God that we were able to reach many people with the motorcycle in the area God sent us.

It was not my hands nor my strength; it was God who took care of me and controlled my hands while driving. For with God, nothing is impossible!

JESSE TREE
DECEMBER 20

Read Malachi 3:1-5, 4:1-6

Sun of Righteousness

Jesus’ first advent is prophesied to a people who are still in a relationship breach with God. However, it will not be as they are expecting. Yet, Jesus’ coming to earth will be a blessing to all who receive Him, bringing “healing in His wings.”
For DECEMBER 21

Read Luke 1:5-17, Matthew 3:1-6

John the Baptist

A 400-year gap spans seemingly empty between the Old and New Testaments. God’s people have suffered under worldly rulers and haven’t seen many signs of His power. Many are clinging to Malachi’s promise of the coming of “Elijah the prophet.” Could this John be the one they are waiting for?
