God Does Great Things

We studied the “Creation of the World” Bible lesson over the last several days. Our loving, almighty God made everything out of nothing by using his almighty word. He said, “Let there be …” And it was so. In six, twenty-four days, our God created the world as a home for humans. He placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, a special beautiful home.
How quickly things were ruined when Adam and Eve fell into sin! Their disobedience of God’s Word brought sin and death into the world. But God came to the rescue. He promised a Savior to all people. He would come and crush the Devil’s head. In John 3:16 God makes it clear of how much he loves us. “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Each day in school your child will be reminded that the greatest thing God did for them was to send his Son, Jesus to pay for all of their sins. If God loved them so much that he sacrificed his own son for them, will he not also give them all the things that they need to sustain them in this life?
Yes, God has done great things for you and your children. He continues to do great things for them daily. He gives them health, the ability to learn, God-fearing parents, a comfortable home and so much more. May our children grow in appreciation of God’s eternal love for them, and may they find joy in living for him through the study of his Word!

PTS Back to School Picnic

Tonight is the back to school picnic. We will serve food outside from 5:30-6:15pm. At 6:15pm we will have a parent meeting while the children play outside under adult supervision. We will discuss upcoming events for the PTS. We plan on being finished by 7:00PM.

Hot Lunch Supplies

The kitchen is in need of the following supplies, paper plates, ranch dressing, and 8oz water bottles. You can leave any donations in the school kitchen or donate money in the office. Thank you in advance for your support.

Service opportunity!

We are looking for a team of lunch servers for Wednesday's and an additional server to help with Thursdays lunch service. All you need is a smile and willingness to serve. Training will be provided. This is a two hour commitment from 1045-1245 weekly. Please contact Jen Vega or stop in at lunch time Wednesday- Friday to see what is involved.

Parking Lot

This is a friendly reminder that we need to follow the rules when picking up our children and leaving. Please tell anyone who picks up your children that they are to leave the parking lot through the church archway onto 75th street. Also, while waiting at school, kindly park along the fence by the teacher driveway or along the north next to the playground equipment. THANK you for your cooperation.

Cones

If you come to Bethany during school hours, you’ll notice cones across the north entrance to our playground. We want to discourage all vehicle traffic into the parking lot when the cones are set. Parking is available in the cul de sac.

From May 11-16, the students in grades 7-8 will have the opportunity to travel to and tour Washington DC. By October 1st, we would like to have a commitment from those who are planning on attending. A note will be sent home soon explaining things in more detail. The first payment of $200/person is due so that we can pay the travel agent for reserving rooms and purchasing tickets.
