Thank God

Thank you Lord, for giving me the privilege to serve here at Bethany these past four years. It has truly been a privilege to share God’s powerful Word everyday with the boys and girls in the classroom. To see the Word work on their hearts is a thrill. It is God’s Word that motivates them to get along with their classmates.
What else but the Word has motivated them to work faithfully in their subjects as if working for the Lord.
Yes, there were times when sin reared its ugly head and caused boys and girls not to love each other as they should. Children arguing with parents and teachers is are a result of sin doing its destructive work.  But thanks be to God, we teachers and parents alike had the powerful Law and Gospel to apply to broken people. To see children and others repent and strive to live in harmony was a true delight.
As I head into retirement, I am thankful for the wonderful pastors and teachers and administrative assistants with whom I had the privilege to work. Bethany has been blessed with God-fearing leaders.  I am thankful for parents who cooperated in so many ways and gladly pitched in to coach, referee, help with the play, serve as hot lunch helpers, and librarians. The list goes on and on. Thank you to all whom out of love for their Savior and concern for their children worked together with the faculty to give our children the best school experience possible.
My parting thought for you is, “We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Thank you to all and may God richly bless Bethany Lutheran Church and School as we enter the second century of our existence as New Life Lutheran Church and Kenosha Lutheran Academy.  Be faithful to God and his Word and great blessings will be yours!  In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you Mr. Schultz and Mr. Meihack

We are thankful and appreciative of the many years of faithful service to teaching of Mr. Schultz and Mr. Meihack.  As they retire at the end of the year, we say farewell and wish them God's Blessings! We will be collecting cards of thanks and appreciation in the school office and at Graduation. Please join us at the reception on Thursday, May 27 following the Graduation Service.
