God Is Our Refuge and Strength

This is the last Broadcaster Article for 2020. As we draw to the close of this calendar year, there are so many memories that flood through our minds. Some of them are wonderful experiences while some were downright scary. In February, God gave another beautiful granddaughter to my wife and I. God-willing by the end of this month, we will welcome another granddaughter into the family. We went to Montana to see family and vacation. Yet, what a difficult year it has been with the pandemic, the summer Kenosha riots, all the changes at school for virtual and in-person learning, and the election of the President of the United States. It seemed like we went from one difficult situation to another, from one fearful event to the next. Yet, through it all, we know that God is our refuge and strength. In Psalm 46:1 God reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” By God’s grace, we are doing well physically. This week is our 16th week of school with children present and learning. We are celebrating another Christmas praising God for sending his Son to redeem us. The presidential election is over and we pray that our next president and Congress will pass laws that are for our good. We look forward to returning to normal in our daily lives as soon as possible now that a new vaccine is available. Through it all, God has been our steady refuge. He has guided our lives through his Word, and he has protected us from harm and danger.
So as we draw close to a New Year, we know that will continue to be with us. May we stay true to him. Go to him in prayer asking for his help and guidance. Praise him by worshipping him in church and online. Teach your children all you know about our loving refuge and strength through home devotions. Finally, enter the New Year confidently and at peace knowing that your Refuge and Strength hold you in the palm of his hand!  Happy New Year in 2021!

Christmas Service for Advent

The final Children's Advent service is tomorrow Wednesday, December 16, and will be done by grades K-2, “The Light Has Come: The Light with Us.” Please note there is a limit of 4 people per family for the service. That is the only way we can safely distance ourselves. It may become somewhat crowded, please respect a safe distance from others. Thank you for cooperating with this. Doors will open at 3:00 pm. Please be aware that we are also dismissing students for pickup at that time as normal, so please navigate carefully in the parking lot!  There is a four person limit per student. At this time, we are planning on recording and sending out a special Broadcaster with the video link shortly after the service.
Students please bring either a change of clothes or wear your nice church clothes to school - no clothing with logos, rips, or tears, and no light wash jeans. Girls may wear an appropriate dress or skirt if they wish.
We are unable to live stream the service so you can watch at home. But, we will be videotaping the service and making it available online.
