🌍 Sting's Accelerate Climate Action program wraps up
Startup Climate Action - a joint initiative by Sting and Norrsken – started a year ago with the aim of creating and accelerating startups offering new solutions to fight climate change.
We kicked off with an open innovation challenge that engaged over 1000 individuals, forming 200+ climate action startup teams. The initiative wrapped up with Sting’s Accelerate Climate Action program, which seven companies have just completed: BluCarbon, Cling Systems, Earthbanc, ihopa, loop-it, Planboo, and Skrym.
"With this initiative, we wanted to mobilize our shared resources to tackle one of the greatest challenges our planet is facing - climate change. Working with these startups has been a real honour, and the positive impact they're making grows day by day. Now, we'll continue to support startups in this space through our accelerate and incubate programs - and we already have some really exciting sustaintech companies in the pipeline", says Climate Action program coach and Deputy CEO, Karin Ruiz.
Sting’s Climate Action efforts will continue with full force, offering tailored support to sustaintech and climate action startups throughout our accelerate and incubate programs.
Recently, we also kicked off Sustainable Energy Action in collaboration with KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Ignite Sweden, THINGS and the Swedish Energy Agency to speed up the commercialization of energy and climate tech-related innovations in the Stockholm region. Follow this page to stay tuned.
At Sting, we're offsetting the emissions of our team to become net zero using Sting Climate Action companies Earthbanc and Planboo's services. Click on their names to find out how they do it.
