Rounding up 2018 – Our Status Report 2018 is here!
2018 was a great year! 33 new startups were accepted Sting, and a record-high 42% of them have a female founder or mixed team. Since 2002, we have now backed 274 startups of which 67% are active and generated a combined revenue of 248 MEUR, an increase of 21% from 2017. The number of employees grew to 2 639, with 833 new employees in 2018. The Sting companies attracted 90 MEUR in private capital and 8,5 MEUR in public funding. Propel Capital made 26 investments in Sting companies, making it Sweden's most active private seed investor.

Since the start in 2002, the Sting companies have attracted 526 MEUR in equity and 136 MEUR in public funding, which is impressive! Find out more key figures by downloading our Status Report 2018 here

Ignite Sweden is looking for startups to join its matchmaking program! 

Ignite Sweden is a national program that aims to initiate collaborations between startups and established companies. Ignite Sweden arranges matchmaking events where startups have the chance to meet established companies who are looking for startups that can help them solve their challenges.

Sharin, the company that provides micro-insurance for sharing economy, raises 10,5 MSEK from Inventure and Luminar Ventures among others. 
Sting is one of the top 10 accelerators in Europe according to Silicon Channels. Previously Sting has three times been selected Sweden's best accelerator/incubator program in Sweden. 
MediCheck, the company that offers individuals access to specialist doctors online, raises 4 MSEK from Aggregate Media. The company also launches a national clinic for people suffering from IBS or IBD.
The e-mobility company CaCharge kicks off international expansion in Norway with a ground-breaking first business deal that includes 18 charging spots purchased by a major real estate company in Oslo.
