Last time we sent our newsletter, we didn't expect that we, a month later, would be experiencing and living through an unprecedented time. At Sting, our biggest focus is always to support the Sting companies, and during the last few weeks – this support has been crucial. Through webinars and online workshops, we have focused on helping our companies to find creative ways to generate new revenue streams, tighten budgets, attracting investors and keep teams in good spirits during the crisis.
Some of the startups are experiencing an increased demand, but most of them have been hit hard. However, besides the obvious pain the pandemic causes, a crisis can also be a trigger for changes that will prove positive in the future. I am impressed by how fast many of the Sting companies are adapting and turning challenges to opportunities.
Also, we see a newfound strength in our team and among our companies to not only save our own businesses but to help people around us. The importance of community has been emphasized. Over and over, we see signs of the true meaning of what entrepreneurs are and do; see new opportunities, take risks, challenge, act and execute ideas.
I want to thank the whole Sting team, our partners and the Stockholm startup ecosystem for reacting so fast and for being there – kudos to you! We will come out of the Corona crisis stronger than before and with a bigger motivation than ever to do great things. If you have ideas on how to further strengthen our startup ecosystem – please get in touch. And also, have a Happy Easter!
