2019 was a great year! The combined revenue of all the Sting companies grew with 15 percent to 283 MEUR of which almost 65 percent is international sales. Together, the Sting companies attracted 78 MEUR private capital in 2019, which brings the accumulated private capital invested to 603 MEUR. Collectively the Sting companies employ 2755 people and their combined revenue reaches 1.9 bn EUR.
In 2019, we also reached a new milestone. Since Sting's launch in 2002, we have now accepted and backed 300 startups via our incubator and accelerator!

Mendi, the world's first clinical-grade brain training product for home use, launched their brain-training device on Kickstarter and already within 90 minutes reached their goal. The company also broke sales record in Sweden for all crowdfunding platforms and the world record within mental health and brain products. Recently, Mendi's CEO Moha Bensofia was also featured on Di Digital.
Prion <3 Admentum
The digital pre-school platform Prion continues to grow fast and starts a collaboration with Admentum, the administration system for schools. The new collaboration offers a unique customer experience for those who are looking for a broader solution to run their school operations. Prion also adds a new sales manager to its team.
Care to Translate continues to grow rapidly
The medical interpretation company Care to Translateraises 6 MSEK and starts a collaboration with Meditune. Care to Translate is growing rapidly; during 2020 their revenues increased with 100% and daily translations with 300%. They have also launched a library for radiologists, a special Covid-19 library and a 3.0 version that allows patients to use the app along healthcare professionals.
A startup’s success often depends on the strength of the people behind it Therefore, we have two dedicated coaches at Sting who specialize in talent acquisition and retention to startups. Last year, our talent management team was involved in more than 90 recruitments, making it Sweden’s largest recruitment service for startups.
