Happenings at BioGro
Bragato 2018

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces at this years Bragato Wine Conference. If you missed the event and would like to view some of the content, this can be found on the Bragato website.
Bee Aware Month
September is a month dedicated to celebrating bees - although small, they are crucial for the environment. We teamed up with TranzAlpine Honey who has been a BioGro licensee for 25 years. We helped offer tastings at Commonsense in Wellington and TravelPharm at Christchurch airport whilst piloting some exciting technology in stores.
In the news
10,000 electric cars cruising around NZ
It's great to see such a dramatic increase in electric cars hitting the roads of New Zealand. In 2013, there were as little as 210, and this has now increased to 10,000 in 2018. We were thrilled to find a BioGro licensee - Claridges - had purchased the milestone 10,000th car.
Commerce Commission charges 'free range' egg farmer
The Commerce Commission have laid eight charges against a West Auckland egg farmer for falsely labelling millions of eggs as free range. The commission have clamped down on misuse of the terms 'free range' and 'organic' stating it's important that traders can back up their claims. As always, we stress the importance of looking for organic certification when any organic claim is being made.

A silver award was presented to Tasman Bay Food Group Limited for their Zesti product packaging at this years Pentawards. It was great to see the BioGro logo in amongst such amazing artwork - congratulations!
