"A picture is worth a thousand words"

The old idiom is true: paintings and prints preserve our best memories, and they can take our breath away.

Helping customers find the perfect print to commemorate their time spent in the Kennebunks or Carrabassett Valley is one of the things that I love most about my job.

One of my greatest joys, however, is when a customer comes to me with a photo or a vision and asks me to turn it into an original work of art. Seeing their faces light up when I show them the finished product makes my day. If you are thinking about having work commissioned, please reach out to me!

Check out some examples of my commission work below—I've recreated everything from wedding photos, to family portraits, and to locations of significant meaning (a gift to someone retiring, for example).

This commission, "Sugarloaf After Dark" has become one of my most popular Carrabassett prints. It was amazing to paint the trails I've come to know and love, and to send the finish product off to Europe!
"What do you get for that person who has everything?"
Well, an easy answer would be: a painting!
This painting was a very special gift to the depicted man, given to him by his three children.
I often do commissions for weddings. In some cases, a loved one has the painting done as a gift to the newlyweds, but other times the happy couple requests it for themselves. Sometimes, the mat even becomes the event guestbook!
I painted this at the request of a family who had recently lost a loved one. Every year, they'd trek to Holmes Tree Farm to cut down the perfect Christmas tree. A commissioned painting thus preserved one of the family's most beloved memories.
