Passage of READ Act in the U.S. Opens New Doors for Global Education Strategy

The Reinforcing Education Accountability in Development (READ) Act, which was signed into U.S. law in late 2017, will improve educational opportunities and address key barriers that keep millions of children worldwide from accessing quality education.

In ECCN's latest blog post, Giulia McPherson, the director of Advocacy & Operations at Jesuit Refugee Service/USA and a member of the ECCN Steering Committee, explains why the law represents a significant moment for global education advocates and practitioners.

Read how the law pertains to education in crisis and conflict, how USAID will be involved in its implementation, and how you can participate.

ECCN has published dozens of blog posts on a variety of EiCC topics. Please visit the ECCN Blog for an overview and email ECCN if you are interested in publishing a blog post yourself.
