Marijuana Facility Location Guide and Neighborhoods of Undue Concentration

Dear Stakeholders, 

The Department of Excise and Licenses has completed updates to the Marijuana Facility Location Guide. This guide contains information about proximity requirements, zoning requirements, neighborhoods of undue concentration for stores and cultivation facilities, and other location requirements. The information contained in this document is provided for guidance purposes only. It is the applicant’s own responsibility to ensure that their proposed location does not violate any applicable location restrictions. 

The neighborhoods of undue concentration for stores are as follows. No new store locations may open in any of these neighborhoods.

  • Overland - 14 locations  

  • Northeast Park Hill - 11 locations  

  • Baker - 10 locations  

  • Elyria Swansea - 10 locations  

  • Five Points - 10 locations  

  • Valverde - 10 locations 

The neighborhoods of undue concentration for cultivation facilities are as follows. No new cultivation facility locations may open in any of these neighborhoods.

  • Montbello - 32 locations  

  • Northeast Park Hill - 32 locations  

  • Elyria Swansea - 29 locations  

  • Overland - 23 locations  

  • College View-South Platte - 18 locations  

  • Lincoln Park - 18 locations
