Hello!
There are quite a few new enrollments in Lincoln and East Adams 4-H Clubs/Programs so some of you are receiving this "E-News" for the first time! Welcome! For you "newbies" this E-News is usually sent out on Fridays to share news, information, and announcements of interest or importance to members, leaders, and parents involved in 4-H. We missed last Friday due to the Veteran's Day Holiday and have a couple of announcements that can't wait till this Friday.

While most of the 4-H participation in this area is through club or family 4-H, some are involved in "After School" or "short-term" activities (such as Camp, Know Your Government or Summer Reading Programs.)

We would love to feature some of the activities that YOU are doing or planning! Send a paragraph or two and perhaps a photo or non-copyrighted graphic to me (Karen Robertson) If you send a photo, please include the names of recognizable people in the photos. We can use the photo IF we have a media release on file or written permission to use.

4hOnline Notes:
Attention Club Head Leaders and Club Enrollment Managers
When you review member profiles for your club prior to "Confirming" - please
  • Make sure they completed ALL sections of the permissions & forms page (Additional Information)
  • Review the Health Page and note any allergies or health conditions that may be important for your project leaders to know
  • Note if the member is enrolling in more than one club.
  • Check the projects listed for your club. If the projects are NOT appropriate for that member for any reason - contact the parent and discuss the situation BEFORE Confirming.
  • If the member is enrolled in more than one club, do NOT "Confirm" - Contact Karen at robertk@wsu.edu with the name of the member, and the clubs and projects listed. This is because only the leader of the "Primary" club for a member is able to see that individual's "to be confirmed" profile. Karen will notify ALL head club leader's for a member in multiple clubs so that appropriate review can occur before the member is "confirmed" at the club level.

  • Members must be "confirmed" at the club level prior to activating for official enrollment at the County level.
  • Activation (status changed from pending to active) at the County level will depend on the club's charter status and enrollment of Project Leaders for each of the projects listed by a youth member. So, the sooner the club turns in the Club Plan for the year and last year's minutes, the sooner the members can be activated and officially enrolled!
  • Activation of new Adult Volunteers requires completion of application process including training and reference/background checks.
