REMINDER:  For those planning to show livestock, pets or still life in 4-H divisions at upcoming Fairs and 4-H Livestock Shows, you must have 4-H membership enrollment completed on 4hOnline.  If youth are not enrolled in their 4-H projects by livestock ownership dates, they will not be eligible to exhibit their projects in 4-H. If you are experiencing difficulties with the 4hOnline enrollment program, please contact me.
Next week, I will be out of the office on Monday and in meetings most of the day on Wednesday.
Have a great week!

Workshop Proposals Still Needed for 2017 Forum!
Time is running out to submit workshop proposals for the 2017 Washington State 4-H Forum. All subject welcome, with emphasis on workshops related to Fundraising, Leadership, Civic Engagement, Livestock, and Small Animals. This year's Forum will be held at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA. Workshop presenters receive a reduced registration fee and all Great Wolf Lodge rooms include water park passes at no additional charge. Proposal form

Forum is a great opportunity for Teen and Adult leaders to build friendships, skills, and knowledge across the state: two days of workshops, awards, speakers, and the Washington State 4-H Council.

This year the event is hosted at the Great Wolf Lodge, and rooms will include passes for your families and club members at the event!

4-H Age Divisions
The WA State 4-H Policy defines 4-H member age divisions based on AGE only. Divisions are based on the age on October 1st of the 4-H year.

I discovered several members who listed themselves as the WRONG 4-H AGE on their 4-H Horse ID Forms. A couple of these make a difference in which 4-H Division they are in! Depending on whether a birthday falls BEFORE Oct. 1 or AFTER Sept. 30th can make a difference in the official 4-H Division! (Clover bud, Junior, Intermediate, or Senior.)
Cloverbuds:   5 to 7 years of age
Junior:            8 to 10 years of age
Intermediate: 11 to 13 years of age
Senior:           14 to less than 19 years of age

Cloverbud members may participate in a variety of age appropriate projects but are NOT eligible for large animal projects, shooting sports, or food preservation activities. Cloverbuds may exhibit project work for participation, but cannot be competitively judged.
