WA State 4-H Fair - September 2 - 25, 2016
The Washington State 4-H Fair is an opportunity for 4-H youth to showcase their achievements and talents as they work toward building successful futures.
There are a variety of ways to be involved; some require "pre-qualification" but some items/activities can be entered for State Fair without prior exhibition.   Below are just a few of the State Fair opportunities. Details are in the State 4-H Fair Exhibitors Guide

4-H Presentations - Junior, Intermediate, and Senior 4-H members who earn a blue ribbon in the Demonstration contest at the Lincoln County or Wheat Land Communities Fair can enter the State Fair 4-H Presentation Contest. Make sure you let the Fair Demo Superintendent know that you would like to go if you qualify. At the end of the Li. Co. Fair and WLCF, State Fair Packets with contest information and passes will be provided to qualifiers who confirm that they will participate in Puyallup!

Commodity Presentations have extra cash prizes and are open to intermediates and seniors who receive a blue ribbon placing at the county level.  This year the presentation can be about any commodity grown in WA State. These presentations have special guidelines and judging criteria.

Creative Kids Projects
(Bailing Twine Creations, Creative Recycling - Metal Can items, Bar Cookies - from scratch, Poetry - "Autumn", Photo - "America the Beautiful")
1. Creative Kids Projects are open to enrolled 4-H junior, intermediate, and senior members, regardless of 4-H project enrollment.  It is not required that entries be exhibited at the county level. However - Lincoln Co. youth are encouraged to enter items in the 4-H Dpt. (not open) at the Lincoln Co. Fair.
2. All Creative Kids Projects are due to the State 4-H Fair on Monday, August 29 (1-5pm) or on Tuesday, August 30 (1O am-5pm).  (They can be hand delivered or mailed to arrive by the dates.)
