Senior Open House
Join us for a modified series of events, as we showcase our programs and share information from our many vendors. Stop by our facility between September 14 and September 17 and grab a treat bag full of vendor’s helpful material and goodies. Also, we will conclude our Senior Casino Challenge with prizes and giveaways on September 17 so be sure to turn in your casino chips before then!
Doggie Paddle
On September 27, bring your favorite four-legged family member to enjoy a day in the pool at North Olmsted Recreation Center. As our outdoor pool season comes to an end, register your furry friend for a refreshing last dip in the pool. Local vendors will be onsite to provide useful information. Registration is $5 per dog. Small dogs (under 30 lbs.) are invited from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM while large dogs (over 30 lbs.) can jump in from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.
Halloween Trek at the Rec
Join our safe, socially-distanced and family-friendly event on Friday, October 23 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Stay in your car and enjoy the drive as you meander through our spooky parking lot full of tricks and treat. Vendors will be passing out candy along your trail through the parking lot. Registration is required and will begin on Monday, September 14. Fee is $10 per car.

Fitness Orientation
September 9th | 6:00 – 7:00 PM
September 22nd | 12:00 – 1:00 PM
Free to all pass members. This class is an information session that will provide the basics of how to use the weight machines and cardio equipment. Registration is required. Sign up at the Recreation Center front desk or online.

Yoga in the Park
Don’t miss Yoga in the Park at North Olmsted Park on September 26 at 10:00 AM. Our instructors will lead you through a yoga practice under the warmth of the sun, weather permitting. Classes are perfect for all levels of experience and all ages. Bring your friends, family and neighbors to experience the freedom of practicing yoga in the open air. In cases of rain, our practice will be held inside of the North Olmsted Community Cabin. Class starts promptly, so please plan to arrive early. Due to COVID-19, registration is limited and will be required for this event. All participants will be required to maintain social distancing during practice. Ice Rink
Ice Rink Renovations
Construction is in full swing in our ice rink this summer. While the configuration of the ice will remain unchanged (main rink and studio rink), many improvements are in store, which will improve the experience for our skaters and spectators alike:
  • Replacement of the sand floor system, dasher boards, rink glass, doors and player boxes.
  • Installation of a new fixed storefront glass wall system to separate the rink area from the warming area.
  • Renovation of the warming area and reconfiguration of the concession area.
