Senior Center Update

Upcoming City Events & Fall Reminders
Trick-or-Treat is scheduled to take place in North Olmsted on Saturday, October 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. We encourage you to visit the Responsible RestartOhio website for guidelines on how to celebrate safely. Please be careful when driving during Trick-or-Treat times as little ghosts and goblins will be roaming the neighborhood streets collecting their candy and having fun.
Also, the North Olmsted Police Department is hosting a Prescription Take Back Event on Saturday, October 24 beginning at 10:00 a.m. You’ll be able to properly dispose of any unused medication at this event. See Tiffany’s Topics & Tips below for more details on this event and prescription safety.
Daylight Savings Time is Sunday, November 1 at 2:00 a.m. Turn your clocks back one hour and please remember to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
Halloween Fun
Jokes with Jackie | Halloween Edition
Back by popular demand (or just because she wants to share her love for corny jokes), Senior Center Administrator Jackie Chavez Anderson invites you to watch this fun filled video full of Halloween-inspired jokes! Watch the video here.

Haunted Mansion Ride
Take a ride on Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion ride first opened at Disneyland in 1969 and Disney World in 1971. Interestingly, Walt Disney came up with the idea for this ride after visiting the Winchester Mystery House, featured in our October 1 eNews. He was fascinated by the stairs to nowhere and doors that opened to holes and walls. Disney’s Imagineers based the ride off these ideas. Take the Disney World ride here.
