Tim Philpot, 68, retired last year after fifteen years as a Family Court Judge in Lexington, Kentucky.
Tim was a trial lawyer for more than 26 years, concentrating on employment law, family law and civil rights cases. He also served in the Kentucky State Senate from 1990-1998.
From 1996 to 2003, Tim was President of CBMC International. He has spoken in 66 nations, primarily to CBMC groups, Parliament groups, legal groups and business groups.
Tim has authored two books. “Ford’s Wonderful World of Golf” is a memoir to his father published in 2013. “Judge Z: Irretrievably Broken” is a novel published in 2016 about family court and the death of marriage in America.
He also serves now as a volunteer assistant coach and chaplain for the University of Kentucky men’s golf team, where he played and graduated in 1974. Tim won several local and state golf tournaments as an amateur golfer and participated in the British Amateur in 1983.
Tim married Susan Davis, who grew up in Africa as the daughter of missionaries, in 1971. Tim and Susan have no children. They have recently retired to Loxley, Alabama.
