JOG, READ & SPEAK Japanese-athon!
This weekend is prime time to reach out to your friends and family to support your child as s/he meets the challenge of this three part event to raise funds for school activities.
Let your teacher or Diane know if you need another copy of the pledge sheet!

Have your kids bring a water bottle and wear appropriate shoes next Wednesday.
(More info on Jikyuso is at the end of this newsletter.)

The book fair is coming!

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at our school Monday, October 24th through Friday, October 28th. Come and see what great new titles we have this year. Check out our book fair homepage to see what the schedule is for our fair this year: http://www.scholastic.com/bf/ygbookfair
If you can’t make it to the bookfair in person, it’s still easy to support our school by shopping at our online bookfair: http://onlinebookfairs.scholastic.com/default.aspx?f=3614065
You can purchase books from our online book fair for an extended period of time - NOW through Monday, November 7th. Books are delivered to the school a couple weeks after the fair.  Friends and family are welcome to order online too!
If you love books and want to help out, there are still FOUR (4) slots available to volunteer to help out at the book fair. Check the sign up sheet posted on the display case outside of Diane’s office.
