March 9, 2017

This year’s OBOB Lane County Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at North Eugene High School. There is a morning assembly at 9am and pool play starts at 10am.

Congratulations to the 2017 YG Cranes Team: Ben Walker, Johanna Bevams, Phoebe Bockoven, Camille Brintnall, and Ruby Their. They will represent us well!

Good Luck!

Please remember that if you are picking up your child before s/he goes to lunch in the cafeteria on Wednesdays, you must be on time. Your student can not wait in the office for you to pick them up. If parents/guardians/pick-up person is not here, the student will be sent to the lunch room. Please do not have the student meet you outside since there is no supervision.

Thank you!

Looking for a Lacrosse Coach

If you or anyone you know is interested, there are 8 girls  (3rd & 4th grade) who are ready to play lacrosse in the Sheldon area but they still need a coach.

If you are interested or know of someone who might be, please have them contact Beth Nitkowski at kidssports. 641-683-2374

The 10th Annual Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art K-12 student art show,  NewArt Northwest Kids: The Language of Art, will be on view through May 28, 2017.

One of YG's first graders, Adrian Mumma, will have a selected work on display, entitled: "Mighty Dog."

An opening reception will be held at the museum, on the University of Oregon campus, on Saturday, April 15th, from 11:00am to 12:00pm followed by the museum's free Family Day from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. April's Family day theme will focus on Landscapes, Seascapes, and Vistas and explore the outdoors through art.

More than 40 works submitted by area K-12 students will be on view in the Education Corridor Galleries. The art on view focuses on the integration of writing and visual art, and was inspired by the JSMA’s fall exhibitions “Lesley Dill’s Poetic Visions: From Shimmer to Sister Gertrude Morgan” and “Good Grief: A Selection of Original Art from Fifty Years of Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts.”  For more info, please click the link below:
