Great Reading YG Team!

Congrats to the YG Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) Team on its 4th Place finish at the regional compeition last weekend.  What a battle it was - they went through several rounds of tie-breakers and made it to the final four.

Congratulations Esme Juenemann, Towa Naito, Lina Nakagome, Ben Walker, Johanna Bevans lead by Emilyanne and Mrs. Lisa Walker!
We are so proud of you!
It's time to start thinking about the science fair!

This year the science fair will be held on Friday June 3rd in the school cafeteria and gym during the last couple hours of the day.  Exact time to be announced. Hard copies of science fair instructions will be available after spring break, but you can download the info at the bottom of this PTO page link or from the newsletter page link. Take a look and start brainstorming great ideas for a science experiment!

Last Friday's event was another successful night for our students and our school. It looks like another $30,000! Final tallies and a few teacher events are still being gathered (see below to have your child join in if you missed out).

Check back next week for pictures and the HUGE list of donors - we hope you will support the businesses that support YG.
Thursday, APRIL 14th

We will have a special opportunity to speak to 4J School District Superintendent Dr. Gus Balderas and ask him about the future of langauge immersion in the disctrict. We NEED parents to attend to show the depth of parent support at the school and to advocate for access to Japanese from K-12. Bring your questions!
