“P.E. Pieces”
YG students are very fortunate to have P.E. all school year.  This first semester, they have P.E. once and week and the second half of the school year they will have it twice a week.  During P.E. we do a variety of warm ups and activities that provide students with 30 minutes of healthy, fun, physical activity.  In order to participate fully and safely, students need to be dressed appropriately.  Please make sure your student has safe/appropriate shoes and clothes for P.E.  Shoes need to stay securely on their feet and have a flat sole.  Boots, sandals or shoes with high heels are not safe or appropriate for P.E. I would like students to always be able to completely participate during class.

Even though our weather is changing, there are still ways to stay active when you are indoors.  You can do exercises such as jumping jacks, stretches, and walking.  A great website for activities and fun exercises is

If you have any questions or you would like to volunteer in a P.E. class, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,

A huge and hearty THANK YOU to Nami Brown for organizing the teacher lunches during conference days this past week.  And another big THANKS and WOW to all the folks who brought in delicious meals and treats to fill the break room with such warmth and hospitality.  If you think attending your parent-techer conference is nerve-wracking (wondering how your child is doing, hoping for a good report, being nervous to address a concern) just imagine what it must be like for a teacher with 30 to 60 families to meet! We all made it through and have a great plan for the upcoming year. Your meals and your attendance at the conferences made the days a big success.

Come to one of these two (sure to be)
soldout games!

The next two home DUCK games are going to be AWESOME. On Nov. 21st we play USC in a game that has proven to be a tough contest over the last few years. And on FRIDAY 11-27 (the day after Thanksgiving) we play the Beavers - Civil War Oregon style!

If you are looking for a fun, family non-shopping Black Friday activity - the Beaver game is your best bet! You get free fourth quarter viewing in the stadium of the game too.

Here's the sign up for 11/21 - need 20 still!

Here's the sign up for 11/27 - need 28 still!

Thanks to everyone in the YG Community for your time and dedication to this fundraising effort.
